Vaccine and Microchipping Clinic for Harrisburg City Pets

CPAA will sponsor a first come, first served clinic for Harrisburg City residents, to be held at the Central Allison Hill Community Center, 1524 Walnut Street , Harrisburg between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm. Registration will begin at 11:30 am. Vaccinations will be FREE for ALREADY spayed and neutered (fixed) cats and dogs For dogs and cats NOT ALREADY spayed and neutered(fixed) vaccinations will be $5 each. Rabies, distemper and bordetella (kennel cough) vaccines will be offered. De-wormer will be free and flea prevention will be available for a donation of $15 per dose. Harrisburg City dog license applications will be on hand.
Home Again micro-chipping, a one day special of $15, includes registration. Always have your pet vaccinated, micro-chipped and wearing a rabies tag and identification for their protection. Please have all dogs on a short leash (NO CHAINS PLEASE), aggressive dogs muzzled and cats in a secure carrier for the safety of all animals. Please do not hand-carry animals.
The clinic veterinarian will be Dr. George Bates, DVM, Asst. Professor at Wilson College , Chambersburg , PA area. Donations are encouraged. This clinic should not replace an annual wellness exam. Karns Foods National Pet Month

CPAA is participating in Karns Foods National Pet Month donation drive during the month of May. Just stop by the Karns Foods at 1200 Market St., Lemoyne, to support CPAA by dumping your spare change in canisters at the register and/or to purchase pet food to donate to our rescued dogs and cats.
CPAA representatives will be at the Karns location on Saturday, May 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to share information about our spay/neuter programs, anti-dogfighting task force, Trap-Neuter-Return, Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE) and more. Adoptable animals also will be showcased.
Many thanks to Karns Foods for its ongoing support of area rescues and shelters.
Weis Markets Paws for Pets

CPAA is participating in the third annual Weis Paws for Pets campaign during the month of May. Just stop by the Weis Markets at 10th and Lowther streets in Lemoyne store and buy dog and cat food, toys, treats, litter, litter boxes, and grooming products, or purchase a bracelet for $1. All donations benefit CPAA.
CPAA representatives will be at the Lowther Street store on Sunday, May 20, to share information about our spay/neuter programs, anti-dogfighting task force, Trap-Neuter-Return, Hounds of Prison Education (HOPE) and more. Adoptable animals also will be showcased.

Low Cost Pet Vaccine Clinic

CPAA will hold a first come, first serve low-cost vaccine and micro-chipping clinic for cats and dogs on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 12am to 3 pm at Cove Outlook Park, 432 Old Market Street, Mt. Joy, Pa 17552. Take 283 East to the Manheim/Mount Joy (Rt. 772) Exit. Go right at the stop sign. Follow for 2.1 miles and turn Right onto Old Market Street. Follow signs to the park. The Lancaster Career and Technology Center is across the street. Registration will begin at 11:30 am. Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella kennel cough) vaccines will be offered for $10 each. Micro -chipping will be available for $20, which includes the registration fee. This is a one day “special” price for chips. All dogs should be on a short leash (martingale collars are suggested) and cats in a secure pet carrier. BREEDERS WILL NOT BE SERVICED Thanks to Dr. Diane Ford, VMD, of Palmyra, Pa for making this clinic possible.
This Mt. Joy Township sponsored Community Family Fun Day is being hosted by Playful Pups Retreat and will include adoptable animals from rescue groups, various vendors and music will be provided by Easy Blues during the event. Northwest Regional Police Department will be on site offering FREE child identification kits. Discounted nail trims will be offered by D’Tails grooming shop. Food will be for sale by A Tail to Tell and will benefit their organization, whose mission is freeing dogs from the horrors of puppy mills. Donations such as paper towels, bleach, Clorox wipes, computer paper, postage stamps, new dog toys, new leashes and no-slip/ martingale collars, quality treats and store gift cards are needed at this time.
