Memorial Balloon Release
Saturday, April 26, 2014

Remember beloved pets who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge by participating in a Memorial Balloon Release to benefit animals in need. Stop by the Pet Valu at 1919 Springwood Road in York from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and purchase your balloon for just $1. Write your pet’s name on the balloon, and at 3 p.m., all the balloons will be released.  

Pet Valu PAWS Weekend
Saturday and Sunday, April 26-27, 2014

Throughout the month of April, the Harrisburg Pet Valu, 2302 Linglestown Road, will be collecting monetary donations from their customers in support of CPAA. On PAWS weekend, we’ll be out at the store with some of our awesome adoptables, sharing information about our mission to help animals in need.

HoneyFest: Adoption & Bully Breed Awareness Event
Saturday, May 24, 2014

Held at Colonel Denning State Park and beginning at noon, the event features Honey, a dog rescued from the horrific world of dog fighting, and hear her story of survival, healing, and love. The event also includes a low-cost vaccine clinic (from 12-3), free food, dogs for adoption, and rescue organizations.

Purses for Paws
Sunday, June 1, 2014

This Thirty-One Fundraiser begins at 2 pm at 180 Walden Way Mechanicsburg. Aimee Beazzo, Thirty-One Representative, will donate 50% of her proceeds to CPAA, and 50% of her proceeds from any party scheduled as a result of the June 1 Purses for Paws party. Please plan to join us for an afternoon of shopping, cool drinks, and munchies, all to benefit homeless animals.

York Pet Valu - DogWash
Saturday, June 21, 2014

PetValu and CPAA will be holding a DOGGIE WASH noon to 5 p.m. at PetValu, 1919 Springwood Road in York. For a $10 donation, volunteers will do the dirty work and leave your pooch smelling squeaky clean.

York Pet Valu - Stuff the Truck
Saturday & Sunday, June 28 & 29, 2014

Show some love for animals in need by stopping by the Pet Valu at 1919 Springwood Road in York for a “stuff the truck” event to benefit CPAA. Dog and cat food, treats, litter, pet beds, collars, leashes, toys, monetary donations – we can use it all! Our HOPE Dogs program is also requesting paper towels and peanut butter for stuffing Kongs.

Many, many thanks to the West York Borough Police Department for loaning us their paddy wagon and to Pet Valu for their ongoing support. Our furry friends are so very grateful!

Farm-View 5 Miler
Sunday, August 10, 2014

Held at Farm-View Kennels, Mechanicsburg, PA

Lace up those running shoes and get ready for the first annual
Farm-View 5 Miler!

This course is flat and fast, and takes place throughout the scenic backroads of Monroe Township.  Electronic Chip Timing will be provided by Applied Race Management. Proceeds benefit CPAA.

Homemade Caramel Sale to Benefit CPAA's De-Sex in the City Spay/Neuter Program.  
The caramels are homemade, contain no preservatives, and are absolutely delicious! They measure approximately 2" x  1" each, and are individually wrapped. 

The costs are:
$1 each
Half dozen for $5
Dozen for $8

If you don't eat them right away, or if you purchase a large quantity, they may be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months, and frozen for up to 6 months.
